KiiiKiii's '404 (New Era)' tops Billboard's 25 best K-pop songs of 2026 so far
by spjw99 · allkpopKiiiKiii's '404 (New Era)' took the top spot on Billboard's 'The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2026 (So Far): Staff Picks', published July 15.
The list runs 25 songs deep and Billboard put the rookie group at number one. The writeup credits the track with taking the internet's most familiar error message and flipping it, building a deep-house strut around references to Wi-Fi, antennas, and dead radar signals.
Billboard wrote that the song does not just imagine a new era but pulls listeners inside it, and added, "While many artists talk about the arrival of a new era, KiiiKiii declares they will lead that era. It's a bold ambition for a rookie, but their confident appearance and daring performances support it."
KiiiKiii debuted in March last year with 'I DO ME' and took their first music show win on MBC's 'Show! Music Core' 13 days later. They followed with the digital single 'DANCING ALONE' that August.
The group has since charted on Billboard Japan, the Oricon chart, and China's QQ Music, a spread that is unusual for an act barely a year into its run.
Their next comeback is set for August. In the meantime they keep putting out 'KiiiKiii Pang Pang' season 2, their own content series, every Wednesday at 7 PM KST.
