Weverse Con Festival adjusts entry procedures amid nearby protest disruption
by hjang · allkpopHYBE’s '2026 Weverse Con Festival' (hereafter 'Weverse Con') has modified parts of its on-site operations due to a protest taking place near the venue.
On June 6, 2026 (KST), the festival announced through its official website that it has adjusted its operational plan "to ensure visitors can enter and move around the venue safely and smoothly."
According to the notice, the Ticketlink Live Arena (Handball Stadium), which had been designated as a wristband pickup location, will no longer be used for this year’s event.
Wristband collection points for certain ticket tiers have also been changed. Holders of Green Pass, Green Pass Day+, and Green Pass Night+ tickets will now receive their wristbands at the Weverse Park main gate.
General Con Ticket and Con Ticket+ holders will not receive separate wristbands and will be allowed direct entry after ticket verification at each Weverse Con gate.
In addition, the previously planned experiential zone at the Ticketlink Live Arena, including tattoo sticker booths, has been removed from the site map. The adjustments are aimed at minimizing confusion for attendees caused by the ongoing demonstrations outside the venue.
Since the morning of June 5, protests have been taking place near the Handball Stadium in Olympic Park. Demonstrators are criticizing ballot shortages during the June 3 local elections and demanding a re-vote.
As a result, 'Weverse Con', scheduled to be held from June 6–7 at the KSPO Dome and the 88 Lawn Field in Olympic Park, has been impacted, prompting changes to audience traffic and entry routes.
