CIX pauses group activities amid contract changes

On April 29 KST, their agency C9 Entertainment released an official statement announcing that the group will stop team promotions after approximately seven years together.
The agency explained that extensive discussions had taken place over several months regarding the continuation of group activities. However, both the members and the company ultimately agreed that suspending operations was unavoidable at this time. They expressed deep regret, noting that everyone involved had devoted sincere effort to every aspect of CIX’s work, from music and choreography to performances and broadcasts.
Regarding the members’ next steps, BX and Seunghun will see their exclusive contracts end on April 30. Yonghee has applied for military enlistment and is scheduled to enter basic training on May 11, fulfilling his duty as an active-duty soldier, with his contract ending upon enlistment. Hyunsuk, who is currently filming a drama, will conclude his contract on May 31 with agency support for his ongoing activities.
The agency also asked fans to continue offering warm support to the members as they move forward individually. At the same time, it left open the possibility of future activities, stating that efforts will continue to maintain communication with the members so that CIX may one day return with their unique music.
CIX was the first boy group launched by C9 Entertainment and has built a dedicated fanbase since debut.
