Kim So Hyun cast as female lead in occult film ‘Modup’

Kim So Hyun will take on the female lead role in the upcoming occult film 'Modup'.

According to reports on May 20 KST, Kim So Hyun has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated occult project.

'Modup' is an occult-themed film jointly planned and developed by Showbox, the investment and distribution company behind the hit movie 'Exhuma'.

The film has already attracted attention following casting news involving Yoo Hae Jin, whose recent film 'The King's Warden' drew 16.85 million moviegoers, and Siwan, who recently appeared in 'Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3'.

Kim So Hyun previously participated in the Korean dubbing version of Your Name. in 2017, but her last on-screen film appearance was in The Last Princess in 2016, where she played the younger version of 'Princess Deokhye'.

As 'Modup' marks her first major leading role in a feature film since becoming an adult actress, anticipation is growing over what kind of performance she will deliver alongside Yoo Hae Jin and Siwan.

Meanwhile, Kim So Hyun recently starred opposite Park Bo Gum in the JTBC drama 'Good Boy' and is set to return later this year with the ENA drama 'Love Doctor'. She is also preparing to appear alongside Song Kang in the upcoming drama 'White Scandal'.

'Modup' is currently in pre-production, with filming expected to wrap later this year.
