by · allkpop

New boy band AxMxP has made their highly anticipated return with the release of their digital single "24 Hours (Convenience Store Light)" on June 24 at 6 PM KST. The track marks the group's first new music in approximately five months since their debut mini album 'Amplify My Way' dropped in January.

The new single is a hip-hop R&B gem that blends bossa nova rhythm guitar, groovy drums, and sensuous vocals. Its lyrics paint a vivid picture of wanting to spend every moment of the day together, beginning with a chance encounter under the soft glow of a convenience store light at dawn and tracing how emotions deepen within the most everyday settings.

Member Hayujun contributed to the lyrics, further imbuing the song with the group's distinct artistic identity. The digital single's online cover art features a photograph personally taken by member Kim Shin, adding an intimate touch to the release.

"This time, we aimed to present a more friendly side of AxMxP. It's a song crafted with music and a style that many people can enjoy," Kim Shin shared. Hayujun added, "It captures the emotions of dawn that everyone has experienced at least once. We hope it can be a song for rest at the end of a busy day, and that listening to it brings back individual memories and feelings." Fellow members Crew and Juhwan suggested listening to the track late at night or at dawn to fully immerse in its emotional depth, while Hayujun specifically recommended focusing on the narrative within the lyrics and the feelings evoked by the 'convenience store light' motif.

AxMxP is also set to expand their activities with upcoming performances, including the '2026 Palette Festival' in Goyang on July 5 and 'FNC Band Kingdom 2026' in Yokohama, Japan, from July 11-12.
