Girls’ Generation unit HyoRiSoo heads to ‘Hangout with Yoo’ before official debut
by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopA new Girls’ Generation unit is set to bring laughter and chaos to television as HyoRiSoo — consisting of Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung — makes a special appearance on MBC’s 'Hangout with Yoo'.
The June 20 KST broadcast will follow Yoo Jae Suk as he meets the trio while searching for the perfect artist to perform “Starry Night,” an OST that unexpectedly caught his attention.
The song was featured in the short-form drama 'I Decided to Win Back the Woman My Younger Brother Stole From Me'. Although it was not the drama’s main theme song, Yoo Jae Suk became a fan of the track, once again demonstrating his reputation for having an exceptional ear for discovering hidden gems.
As a result, Yoo reached out to Yuri with a proposal to sing the song, raising curiosity about whether a collaboration between the program and HyoRiSoo will ultimately come together.
Preview images show the trio confidently stepping into the spotlight despite not yet having an official debut song as a unit. The members engage in a playful battle over who deserves the center position while also exchanging humorous remarks about each other’s vocal abilities.
Their energetic chemistry leaves Yoo Jae Suk both impressed and amused, with the veteran entertainer reportedly commenting, “They’re incredible,” while breaking into a wide smile.
The preview has already generated enthusiastic reactions from viewers, with comments such as, “A rookie comedy girl group appearing on a major network before even releasing a debut song,” “I can’t even imagine how badly they want to succeed,” and “Meeting the man with the Top 100 ears? They must be a true super rookie group.”
With their trademark wit and years of variety-show experience, HyoRiSoo is expected to deliver plenty of laughs while competing for the chance to take on the viral OST project.
