Billlie unveils bold new era with first full-length album

by · allkpop

Billlie held a showcase on May 6 at the SBS Prism Tower Open Hall in Mapo District, Seoul, to celebrate the release of the group’s first full-length album.

The title track “ZAP” refers to a sudden electric shock and conveys the moment of blocking out overwhelming gossip and repetitive outside noise in order to return fully to one’s true self.

Built on intense and rough beats, the song combines the members’ bold vocals and distinctive rap styles to portray a strong sense of identity that remains unshaken under any circumstances.

The album’s sub-title track “WORK” is a hybrid track blending 124 BPM bass house with the gritty texture of industrial hip-hop. Member Moon Sua participated in writing the lyrics, which deliver the message of embracing even one’s flaws as part of oneself while continuing to move forward.

Ahead of the official album release, the performance video for “WORK” surpassed 1.35 million views on YouTube at a rapid pace, drawing strong attention from fans.
