Lyn opens up about first divorce confession and Yoon Jong Shin’s unexpected remark

On the June 28 broadcast of SBS’s 'My Little Old Boy,' longtime friends Lyn and Baek Ji Young appeared together, showcasing their close, easygoing chemistry.
On the show, Lyn began by saying, after listening to Baek Ji Young talk about her marriage and children, that she thought, “Building a family, getting married, and having children is truly amazing.”
Baek Ji Young then responded, “I think the bond of marriage is the most mysterious and sacred thing. It’s so mysterious and sacred that it’s also very difficult to maintain.”
She added, “I think I’m doing well by maintaining my marriage, but I also think it’s even harder for those who can’t hold it together and end up separating. When you told me about your divorce, I thought you must have been going through something incredibly difficult.”
Lyn then recalled the day she first told Baek Ji Young about her divorce. She said, “I wanted to tell you first, so I rushed over after finishing my 'Immortal Songs' schedule, but there were other people around you, like Yoon Jong Shin and Kim Bum Soo.”
She then continued, “I tried to tell only you, but when you said, ‘Sejin (Lyn) has something to say,’ Yoon Jong Shin remarked, ‘If Sejin has something to say, it’s either divorce or pregnancy.’”
Lyn added calmly, “But everyone naturally let that moment pass so smoothly, so just being able to say it out loud made it feel like I had properly informed everyone. Everyone was very worried for me and cared about me, and things went well afterward.”
Meanwhile, Lyn and singer Isu announced their divorce in August 2025, ending their 11-year marriage and going their separate ways.
