LATENCY’s HyunJin leaves band two months after debut due to health concerns
by hjang · allkpopLATENCY member HyunJin has departed the band just two months after the group’s debut.
Through the group’s official fan community on May 22, 2026 (KST), agency Ordinary Records announced that HyunJin would be leaving both the team and the company due to health-related reasons.
According to the agency, "HyunJin recently engaged in in-depth discussions regarding her future activities due to health concerns, and after respecting her wishes, we mutually agreed to terminate her exclusive contract."
In a personal message shared with fans, HyunJin expressed her feelings, saying, "As I continued my activities, I became physically and mentally exhausted, and I realized that I need some time to take care of myself for now." Apologizing to her followers, she continued, "This was not an easy decision, which makes me even more cautious and sorry toward those who supported me. I sincerely thank everyone who trusted and supported me and stayed with me through every moment."
Back in 2018, HyunJin originally entered the music industry as a member of LOONA. Following the group’s intense contract disputes and eventual disbandment in 2023, a fresh start was made in Loossemble alongside ViVi, YeoJin, Go Won, and HyeJu.
Roughly a year after that, following the expiration of her contract with Loossemble, March 2026 marked her re-debut as a member of the band LATENCY. However, her journey with the group has now come to an end only two months later.
