Heo Nam Jun thanks DAY6's Young K for singing 'My Royal Nemesis' OST and sending coffee truck
by Alec06 · allkpopActor Heo Nam Jun expressed his gratitude toward DAY6's Young K for his unwavering support during the production of SBS's 'My Royal Nemesis.'
During a recent interview following the drama's conclusion, Heo Nam Jun opened up about Young K's participation in the OST track "Season of Us."
The two stars became close friends after appearing together on ENA's 'Every Village Needs Grandchildren' last year. Their friendship continued when Young K agreed to lend his voice to the soundtrack of Heo Nam Jun's latest drama.
Recalling the experience, Heo Nam Jun said, "The director played me a song that would be used as the ending theme for episode 3, and I immediately loved it. Then he asked if I could reach out to Young K about singing it."
"Even though we're friends, I felt a little cautious asking him," he continued. "I called him and told him to listen to the song first before deciding, but he agreed so readily. He said yes before even hearing the track."
Young K later showed his support once again by sending a coffee truck to the filming set.
"There were so many DAY6 fans on set," Heo Nam Jun said with a laugh. "For a brief moment, I felt like I was the celebrity."
He also revealed that he had tried to publicly thank Young K on another variety program, but the segment was ultimately edited out.
Meanwhile, 'My Royal Nemesis' concluded its 14-episode run on June 20. The fantasy romance drama follows the fiery clash between Shin Seo Ri, an unknown actress possessed by the spirit of a notorious Joseon-era villainess, and ruthless chaebol Cha Se Gye. In the series, Heo Nam Jun took on the dual roles of Cha Se Gye and Lee Hyun.
