Seo In Young recently opened up about her fallout with former Jewelry member Jo Min Ah, revealing that she still feels deeply sorry about how their relationship ended.

On May 21, 2026 (KST), a new video was uploaded to Lee Ji Hye’s YouTube channel 'Gwanjong Un-ni' under the title 'Lee Ji Hye VS Seo In Young Why did they burst into tears while talking about stories from 20 years ago?'. During the candid conversation, the two singers looked back on past conflicts and changing relationships from their days promoting in the popular groups Jewelry and S#ARP.

Recalling the early days of Jewelry, Seo In Young confessed, "When I was younger, I used to wonder why Lee Ji Hyun seemed so cold like an ice princess. Now we’re very close and care about each other a lot, but back then our personalities just didn’t match." Despite those initial mismatches, she noted that she used to spend a significant amount of time with Jo Min Ah during that exact period.

In a bittersweet turn, however, Seo In Young admitted that the two are no longer in contact. "Min Ah was always someone who reached out to me first. But there were difficult moments between us. She was the type who couldn’t hold back honest opinions," she explained. Continuing her reflection, she added, "At the time, I wanted people to tell me I was right no matter what, but Min Ah would say, ‘If something is wrong, it’s wrong.’ I didn’t want to hear that."

Acknowledging her own shortcomings during her youth, the singer admitted that she eventually stopped reaching out first. "It was my immaturity," she said. "She was the only member I didn’t invite to my wedding. Looking back now, I feel so sorry about that."

As the episode progressed, the conversation shifted toward the notorious conflicts within idol groups during the early 2000s. Looking back at Jewelry’s debut period in 2002, Seo In Young recalled, "It was around the time when S#ARP was close to disbanding. I remember Seo Ji Young visiting our waiting room. Even then, their atmosphere didn’t seem normal. Our group almost turned chaotic too," she remarked jokingly.

In response, Lee Ji Hye looked back on the infamous tensions that eventually led to S#ARP’s sudden breakup, an incident that became highly publicized during their promotions. Fortunately, time seems to have healed old wounds, as Lee Ji Hye shared that her relationship with her former bandmate has drastically improved. "I recently ran into Ji Young in Jeju Island and we happily talked together. We’re even planning to meet again next week," she revealed.

Upon hearing this, Seo In Young playfully apologized to Lee Ji Hye, admitting, "Honestly, back then I was more on Ji Young’s side." Laughing at the unexpected confession, Lee Ji Hye responded, "So you didn’t take my side and chose Ji Young’s side instead? Well, looking back now, it doesn’t feel like such a big deal anymore."

Ultimately, the emotional reunion allowed both singers to reflect on how maturity has granted them a better understanding of one another’s perspectives, allowing them to finally let go of the intense conflicts they experienced at such a young age.
