On July 28, Nest Management, Kim Ji Woong's agency, shared an official statement explaining their ongoing efforts to coordinate his commitments as both an actor and a member of ZEROBASEONE. Despite these efforts, previously confirmed acting projects have made it unavoidable for Kim Ji Woong to skip certain group activities temporarily.
The agency asked for fans' understanding regarding possible fluctuations in Kim Ji Woong's participation in group events, noting that similar situations might arise again in the future. They also promised to continue supporting him fully in both his acting and music careers.
Kim Ji Woong began his acting career in 2021 with the web drama 'Sweet and Sour Guy' and has since built an impressive filmography including roles in 'Bite Me,' 'Convenience Store Veteran,' 'Bad Mom,' and 'Waiting for Kyungdo.'
He gained recognition in the music world through Mnet's audition program 'Boys Planet' in 2023, finishing in 8th place and debuting in the nine-member group ZEROBASEONE. After the project's initial phase ended, he stayed on with the reformed five-member lineup and has actively promoted with the group.
Despite the challenge of managing dual careers, Kim Ji Woong remains committed to delivering great performances both as an actor and idol, with his agency dedicated to supporting his growth in both fields.
