Actress Goo Hye Sun has introduced a new product she designed herself, following the successful launch of her patented hair roller.

On June 2, Goo shared photos on social media along with the message, “After completing the design registration process, I have launched a new pouch.”

The images included an official design registration certificate issued by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, as well as the newly designed pouch. According to the registration document, Goo filed the design application in March and completed the registration process in April. The registered product is listed as a pouch, with Goo Hye Sun credited as the creator.

The announcement comes shortly after the actress drew attention for releasing a portable hair roller that she personally developed. The patented product was designed to improve portability, functionality, and environmental sustainability. However, it also sparked discussion online due to its pricing, with a single roller selling for 13,000 won and a two-piece set priced at 25,000 won.

Addressing the criticism at the time, Goo explained that the manufacturing process was completely different from conventional hair rollers and expressed confidence in the product’s value.

In April, she revealed that sales of the hair roller had surpassed 10,000 units, highlighting its strong commercial performance and widespread public interest.

Goo Hye Sun first entered the entertainment industry as a commercial model in 2002 before gaining recognition through the MBC sitcom “Nonstop 5.” She later built a successful acting career through dramas including “Ballad of Seodong,” “Pure 19,” and “Boys Over Flowers.”

Beyond acting, Goo has also pursued academic achievements. She studied visual arts at Sungkyunkwan University and later earned a master’s degree in engineering through the science journalism program at KAIST, continuing to expand her career across multiple fields.
