Gabrielle Cheyenne, a 24-year-old nurse from the Chattanooga area, was at the show with her mom when Usher picked her out of the crowd for his “Can U Handle It?” routine at Nissan Stadium on July 25. She went along at first, then stiffened and pulled back when he leaned in. He smirked, told the crowd “I don’t think she wants to be on the stage,” and had her escorted off. Some of the audience booed, and the clip took over TikTok, X, and Instagram within hours.

Then she talked. Cheyenne says Usher’s team upgraded her from floor seats to VIP before the show, and that they never tell you who you’re being pulled up for. “I was going up for CHRIS and CHRIS ONLY,” she wrote, saying she’d have reacted completely differently for Chris Brown. She also fired at hometown critics, calling it crab-in-a-bucket jealousy and signing off with “F*ck y’all, DISRESPECTFULLY.”

Usher answered from later stops. In Birmingham he grinned through a warning about not coming onstage if you don’t want to be there, plus a line about how “God don’t like ugly, but most certainly doesn’t feel too good about pretty privilege either.” Chris Brown was reportedly laughing beside him.

Cheyenne later told TMZ there’s no bad blood, she’s just more of a Chris Brown fan, and the whole thing got blown out of proportion while she was getting harassed online. The R&B Tour, which the two co-headline, rolls into the NYC area next, where Usher’s already been spotted moving between engagements in head-to-toe Balenciaga gym gear.
