Dear God, steady my heart when the unknown starts to overwhelm me. 

Because the truth is, the hardest battles are often the internal ones — the quiet spirals, the what-ifs that grow louder when the world quiets, the fear that slips into your heart when you don’t know what is coming next. Uncertainty has a way of breaking down even the strongest forms of faith. It pulls your mind in a dozen directions, it makes you doubt what you know, and it inspires a heaviness you can’t always explain.

But even in the moments when everything feels unclear, God is not. He does not disappear when the future does. His steadiness does not crack when your confidence does. He meets you right in the middle of the questions — not with immediate answers, but with presence, with peace, with a gentleness that reminds you that you’re not navigating any of this alone.

When you pray this, when you ask, “God, steady my heart,” — you are not asking him to remove the unknown. You are asking him to quiet the fear that comes with it. You are asking him to anchor you when your thoughts drift. You are asking him to remind you that even when nothing makes sense, he is still working, he is still guiding, he is still walking before you.

You do not need every detail to feel secure.
