Taylor Brown noticed Angela Murray’s expression change depending on who was answering the jury’s questions during the Big Brother 28 finale on October 1. When Taylor spoke, she said, Angela’s face would frown. Taylor already suspected she wouldn’t get the votes she needed to beat Rick Devens.
“Between Angela [Murray], Dee [Valladares] and Melody [Morris] alone, I knew that their body language was [off],” Taylor, 28, told Us Weekly after the finale.
Angela, 52, shook her head at Melody, 24, when Taylor claimed credit for Lyric Medeiros’ eviction. Devens, 42, subsequently said his alliance had arranged the blindside.
Taylor acknowledged she could’ve misread Angela’s expressions. Her expectations also came from living with the jurors, hearing how they talked about her and knowing how closely Angela and Dee had worked with Devens during the season.
The reactions didn’t intimidate her. “Oh no, never that. I don’t operate off fear at all,” she told Us Weekly.
The jury included Angela, Dee, Melody, LaTrice “Lala” Verrett, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel and Drew Campbell. Lala, Taylor’s ally, cast her only winning vote. Devens received the $750,000 top prize, while Taylor earned $75,000 as runner-up.

Getting into that final vote had required a bluff of her own. Taylor told Us Weekly that Devens had warned her several days earlier that, if she didn’t take him to the final 2, he’d withhold his vote and urge others to do the same. She later used that threat on him, saying he’d lose her jury vote if he chose Drew instead.
Taylor said she waited until the last moment so Devens would have little time to reconsider or discuss it with Drew. He chose her, but she admitted afterward that she would’ve voted for him anyway.
Had she won the final Head of Household competition, Taylor said she would’ve sent Devens to the jury. She also credited his winning game: “He was the best overall player, and that’s why he won and got America’s favorite.”
