Rick Devens is considering using part of his $810,000 in Big Brother winnings to send Drew Campbell to a place his ally talked about throughout their time in the house: Machu Picchu. The offer comes after Devens evicted Campbell in the October 1 finale and won season 28 alongside runner-up Taylor Brown.

“Drew is definitely getting a nice dinner, although I think a nice dinner for Drew is In-N-Out Burger, Dave’s Hot Chicken or something like that, so we might have to give him something extra,” Devens told USA TODAY on October 2. “He’s talked a lot about Machu Picchu, and I might just have to send him there. We got to take good care of my buddy Drew.”

Campbell, a 22-year-old dental assistant, had helped keep Devens in the game all season. At the final 4, he chose to evict fellow Survivor alum Dee Valladares, saving Devens. But when Devens had to choose his final opponent, Brown persuaded him that Campbell could beat him in the jury vote.

Brown told USA TODAY she’d threatened to vote for Campbell and persuade her close ally LaTrice “Lala” Verrett to do the same if Devens cut her. Afterward, she acknowledged that she couldn’t have persuaded Verrett to change her vote and would’ve voted for Devens herself.

“Me not voting for Devens was definitely a bluff,” Brown said.

Devens, 42, earned $750,000 for winning, another $50,000 from the America’s Favorite Player vote and $10,000 for accepting the season’s pharaoh’s curse twist. He plans to invest some of the money and buy heated toilets like the ones he got used to in the Big Brother house.

Campbell told USA TODAY he respects Devens’s decision: “Dude, he doesn’t have to do anything for me.”

“I got to do my dream,” Campbell said. “I got to play ‘Big Brother’ at 22 years old. Most people don’t get to play until they’re in their late 20s. If he wants to do something nice, I’m not going to say no. I haven’t really even spoken to him yet, and I can’t wait to see him and congratulate him again.”
