Lenny Kravitz’s Representative Says Reports He Was Aboard the Learjet That Crashed in Florida Are “Untrue and Incorrect”

Lenny Kravitz’s representative has rejected rumors that the musician was aboard a Learjet involved in a fatal crash in Florida: “The reports are untrue and incorrect.”
The confusion began with a Facebook post by pilot Emily Shelton, who said she was “looking forward” to having Kravitz aboard a separate flight. After she was mistakenly linked to the crashed aircraft as its pilot, speculation spread that Kravitz had been a passenger. The passengers’ identities hadn’t initially been made public.
The Learjet 60 had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport for the Bahamas before crashing into a mobile home park in Greenacres, Palm Beach County. On November 1, 2026, 9 people were reported dead.
Google’s Knowledge Panel also listed Kravitz as having died in West Palm Beach. That entry appears to have since been corrected.
Shelton addressed the false connection on TikTok: “I was recently made aware that there are rumours that I was the pilot of the recent crash in Palm Beach. I would like to respectfully clarify I was not.”
“I ask that people please stop speculating and spreading misinformation on this tragedy and be respectful of those involved,” she added.
“My heart goes out to all those lost and affected.”
