A Veteran Film Reporter Spent 12 Hours Melting Down on Twitter Because a 25-Year-Old Actress’s Team Won’t Give Him the Time of Day

Jeff Sneider spent roughly 12 hours crashing out on Twitter this weekend, and the reason boils down to this: Inde Navarrette’s team stopped answering his emails.
The 42-year-old styles himself as “a proud Hollywood rule breaker who loves movies & publishes the industry’s #1 independent newsletter.” Over the course of the meltdown, he pitched himself as a “useful friend” to Navarrette — someone who could “share literally everything I hear about her” — and framed her team’s silence as something he could forgive once, but not twice.
“I can forgive being ghosted this summer,” he wrote. “I won’t forget, but I can forgive just not twice.”
The tone escalated from there. When one reply called the whole performance “giving creeper,” Sneider didn’t back off — he leaned in. “I wasn’t complaining,” he responded. “That was a threat. Engage or don’t and be subjected to non-stop rumors.”
He also suggested that being ignored had worked out fine for him. “Believe me, I’d love to continue being ignored so I can say whatever I want,” he wrote. “It’s proven to be very lucrative for me.”
By the end of the spree, Sneider was quote-tweeting posts about Pablo Torre — a journalist known for actual investigations — and recasting himself as a truth-teller that studios can’t handle. He says a 2,700-word column on the entire episode is on the way.
