Warner Bros. has officially released the first trailer for Remain, the feature film adaptation of the best-selling novel co-written by M. Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks. The supernatural drama stars Jake Gyllenhaal alongside Phoebe Dynevor.
The narrative follows Tate Gordon (Gyllenhaal), a reclusive architect recovering from acute depression who relocates to Cape Cod to complete his latest project. Upon arrival, he connects with a young woman named Wren (Dynevor), whose presence pulls him into a mysterious local conflict. Set to Mitski’s “My Love Mine All Mine,” the trailer showcases supernatural occurrences and emotional tension surrounding the couple’s relationship as Tate attempts to uncover the truth behind Wren’s past.
The project expands on the source novel published in October 2025, exploring inherited family traits tied to seeing spirits. The broader cast includes Ashley Walters, Julie Hagerty, Jay O. Sanders, and Tracy Ifeachor.
