Carhartt WIP officially released its SURPLUS® 2026 collection, returning for its second year at the Sydney music and culture festival presented by Nike Sportswear and SUPPLY®. Conceived as an elevated take on festival merchandise, the commemorative capsule was sold strictly on site across the event weekend.
Anchoring the release was a limited-edition souvenir Santa Fe Jacket, constructed with a signature heavyweight Dearborn Canvas body and collar, contrasting faux-leather sleeves, and a quilted nylon lining. Custom co-branded Carhartt WIP, Nike Sportswear, and SURPLUS® embroidery detailed the outerwear piece throughout. Alongside the jacket, the lineup delivered a Zip Hooded Sweater and matching Fleece Shorts tailored from cotton French terry, supported by short- and long-sleeve T-shirts crafted from 100% cotton.
The visual palette drew directly from the core signature hues of each collaborator: Carhartt WIP’s trademark Hamilton Brown, Nike Sportswear’s vibrant orange, and SURPLUS®’s SUPPLY® Blue. An overarching Urban Camo pattern unified the range, nodding to the spirit of exploration across the festival’s Darlinghurst precinct. In tandem with the apparel release, Carhartt WIP hosted an evening showcase on October 16 at Oxford Art Factory, featuring a live performance by electronic trio Suzy Sheer.
