Netflix and Sony Pictures Television have officially announced The One About Matthew Perry, an upcoming three-part docuseries honoring the life and lasting legacy of the late Friends star. The project is directed by Emmy Award winner Mary Robertson and produced by Maxine Productions.
The three-part docuseries traces Perry’s career from an aspiring actor in Los Angeles to global television fame across 236 episodes as Chandler Bing. Beyond his comedic work, the production explores his personal life, candid advocacy, and battle with addiction, combining unreleased home video archives with personal reflections from those in his inner circle.
The narrative is grounded by the first on-camera interview with Perry’s younger sister, Mia Perry Bowick, who shares private memories of their family life. Additional accounts are provided by Perry’s long-time friends Roger Castillo and David Pressman, former NBC Entertainment president Warren Littlefield, Boys Will Be Boys co-star Billy Gallo, Fools Rush In producer Doug Draizin, and The Whole Nine Yards co-star Kevin Pollak.
