Nike is closing out its First Sight trilogy with the women’s First Sight Shadow, dropping in a “Cream II and Enigma Stone” colorway. The collection sets out to stretch what athletic footwear can look like, and the Shadow does it by blending openly referenced heritage forms with a slip-on profile that looks firmly forward.

The Shadow’s starting point is the early 2000s, a period whose silhouettes inform its overall shape, while Nike Basketball’s design language supplies the underlying framework. The result skips laces entirely, using a slip-on construction that gives the shoe a clean, futuristic outline from heel to toe.

Up top, the upper takes on a sculpted form that reads more like a molded object than a conventional sneaker panel layout, giving the “Cream II and Enigma Stone” pairing plenty of contour to play across.

The outsole carries the basketball connection to the ground. Nike fitted the Shadow with bespoke traction drawn from court footwear, grounding the sculptural upper in a pattern built around the sport that shaped it.
