Bravo Parts Ways With ‘Below Deck’ Star Nathan Gallagher After Domestic Violence Charges

Bravo has officially parted ways with Below Deck’s Nathan Gallagher in the wake of the reality star skipping a court hearing where he stood accused of domestic violence against a fellow co-star, a representative for the network confirmed to Rolling Stone. 

“Bravo does not plan on working with Nathan in the future,” the spokesperson said Friday. 

It comes as members of the Below Deck franchise had been frustrated with Bravo for staying silent after news of Gallagher’s arrest broke in mid-August, a well-placed source tells Rolling Stone. Additionally, network officials had instructed those affiliated with the show not to speak publicly on the matter, according to the source, as fans clamored for transparency about Gallagher’s future with the franchise and questioned when Bravo first learned of his arrest. 

Last month, Rolling Stone reported that Gallagher had been arrested just days after Christmas in 2025 in Sydney, Australia, on charges of assault and strangulation stemming from a fight he had with his partner, Gael Cameron. The two met while filming Season Nine of Below Deck Mediterranean, striking up a romance while working on a super yacht’s deck team together. They welcomed a son in June 2025. One of this season’s major storylines is Gallagher juggling his bosun duties on the yacht while trying to be present for Cameron and their newborn son, who were living nearby in Croatia. 

In a physical dispute that allegedly unfolded near their young son on Dec. 26, 2025, Gallagher was accused of physically holding down Cameron and “plac[ing] both of his hands around the victim’s neck applying enough pressure which made her unable to breathe,” according to reports and court documents. He was arrested the following day. 

The 28-year-old was set to appear before a magistrate judge on Tuesday, but he was a no-show, resulting in a conviction on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and intentionally choking a person without consent. Police said Gallagher was “believed to be offshore.”

A warrant was issued for Gallagher’s arrest, with the presiding judge saying “the offenses themselves are very serious, with significant maximum penalties,” according to Australian media reports.

A week prior to his hearing, Gallagher told Rolling Stone in a statement that he had “made mistakes” but claimed that “only one side of what was an extremely complicated situation” was being presented. He had claimed to be in possession of “evidence” that would offer a different version of events, but failed to provide any materials to Rolling Stone that might corroborate his claims.

Bravo did not offer any clarity on whether there would be any type of internal investigation into Gallagher, and Rolling Stone understands that Gallagher will not be edited out of the remaining episodes of the currently airing season. 51 Minds Entertainment, the production company behind the popular program, has not responded to Rolling Stone’s request for comment. 

In the wake of Gallagher’s being charged with domestic violence offenses, former cast members from other Below Deck franchises have chimed in on the show’s vetting standards. Ben Willoughby, who was a part of Season 10 and 11 of Below Deck, took to Instagram to say he’s “disheartened” to see what the show has become. Former stewardess Hayley De Sola Pinto also voiced disappointment in some casting decisions made in recent years.
