In 2013, Samantha Rolfe stood in her childhood bedroom for the first time in six years with a sense of pride.

In 2007, when Rolfe was 16, her family had been forced to sell their home in Ashgrove, Brisbane, after the collapse of her father’s hospitality business. But in 2013, aged 23, she pooled her money with the rest of her family to buy the home back.
