U Mobile recently announced the appointment of national women's doubles players Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan as the latest brand ambassadors in conjunction with the launch of ULTRA5G. That said, what should you know about it?

A plan for frequent travellers

For your information, the two players, who are currently among the best women's doubles players in the world, will represent the new generation of postpaid plans with a main focus on the ULTRA Family 128. The plan is designed specifically for frequent travellers, offering global roaming covering over 60 destinations, free incoming calls abroad and data sharing functionality across devices and users.

In Malaysia, the same plan also provides priority network access in congested areas such as airports and stadiums. As part of the campaign, U Mobile will be hosting a meet-and-greet session with Pearly and Thinaah on 16 May 2026 from 1 pm to 4 pm at Sunway Pyramid. In addition, U Mobile has also been announced as the official event partner for the Malaysia Masters 2026, which will take place from 19 to 24 May.

Moreover, the announcement comes after the introduction of a range of ULTRA plans spanning prepaid, postpaid and enterprise, powered by the next-generation 5G network. The plans feature such features as priority access, integrated security and enhanced roaming capabilities.
