Predator Atlas 7 handheld gaming and Project DualPlay Mini gaming handheld + mini laptop concept announced

Acer recently released their 7-inch Predator Atlas 7 handheld gaming computer alongside the 8-inch Project DualPlay Mini concept (which is a gaming handheld + mini laptop). Powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and featuring up to an 80 Wh battery, an included XBOX Game Pass subscription, and Windows 11 gaming out of the box, the Atlas 7 will roll out globally starting Q4 2026. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet though.

Portable Gaming and a Dual-Utility proof of concept

The Predator Atlas 7 uses a dual-fan cooling system that pairs a 0.1mm, 89-blade metal Predator AeroBlade fan (delivering up to 10% increased airflow) with a secondary plastic fan and Vortex Flow channel tuning. Controls have contoured grips, an enlarged palm rest area, anti-slip texture, recessed keys, optional tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) anti-drift joysticks with zero dead zones, and Hall-effect analog triggers.

The Acer Project DualPlay Mini on the other hand is an 8-inch concept device which turns into a mini laptop from a gaming handheld. Featuring a flip-and-swivel convertible hinge, it shifts between a console-like handheld mode and a mini-laptop complete with a backlit physical keyboard for first-person shooters or productivity on an external screen. Built to celebrate Acer's 50th anniversary with "Acer 50 since 1976" in Morse Code on the back, it shares the same metal-and-plastic dual-fan architecture as the Predator Atlas 8.
