Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and 8 Elite Gen 6 released for Agentic AI

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 mobile platforms have been officially released. The new chips feature an advanced 2nm process node alongside custom Qualcomm Oryon CPUs, rearchitected Adreno GPUs, and Hexagon NPUs. Likely coming to the next flagship smartphones and other mobile devices, they focus more on Agentic AI than before.

Longer playtime for more powerful AI?

Features for the new Snapdragons include Adreno Neural Fusion for AI-enhanced graphics and longer playtime, alongside Advanced Professional Video (APV) support and Intelligent Pixel Control for deeper scene understanding. Global OEM partners including HONOR, iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, REDMI, RedMagic, vivo, and Xiaomi will soon debut devices powered by these chipsets. No Malaysia release dates yet, but they are expected very soon.
