ADATA chairman predicts that RAM crisis will continue for another 10 years or more

While we're all fervently hoping that the RAM crisis will end in 2027, ADATA Chairman, Chen Li-Bai recently predicted that it will continue for another 10 years or more. He made this prediction when he was recently asked about having to worry about the AI bubble collapsing and said that we'd only have to worry about that in 2040 or 2050. FYI, ADATA produces RAM and other memory components so there may be some insider truth to this.

It's not the first time though 

If you look back at his predictions about the worsening of the RAM crisis or shortages due to AI, he has made similar predictions in 2025 and earlier this year. This isn't to say that he was wrong, as things have indeed gotten worse but it's something we all would really rather not want to happen. Already, the effects include less budget phones due to rising memory costs, budget brands closing down and more computers becoming more expensive.

Still, if you're looking to buy tech that has RAM or memory as a component like a PC, laptop or smartphone, it really seems like you should buy it now before they increase further in price.
