The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applications for recruitment to multiple Group 'A' and Group 'B' posts across various ministries and departments of the Government of India through Advertisement No. 07/2026. UPSC RECRUITMENT 2026: WHO CAN APPLY?
The educational qualifications vary depending on the post. UPSC is seeking candidates from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including:
Engineering graduates for Aeronautical Officer posts
Law graduates for Legal Officer and Company Prosecutor posts
Medical professionals with relevant postgraduate qualifications for Specialist Grade III positions
Graduates and postgraduates in archaeology, agriculture, photography and allied disciplines for other advertised posts
Relevant professional experience is mandatory for most positions.
UPSC RECRUITMENT 2026: AGE LIMIT
The prescribed upper age limit differs according to the post and category. Depending on the position, the maximum age ranges between 30 and 45 years, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Government of India norms.
UPSC RECRUITMENT 2026: PAY SCALE
Selected candidates will be appointed in different pay levels under the 7th Central Pay Commission, ranging from Level 7 to Level 11, depending on the post. Certain medical posts also carry Non-Practising Allowance (NPA).
