CBSE re-evaluation result delay: 13% Class 12 students left waiting for scores
Even as the CBSE has released over 87% of its Class 12 re-evaluation results, 13% of students are still waiting for revised scorecards. The delay has left many worried about college admissions, JoSAA counselling and other ongoing admission processes.

For many CBSE Class 12 students, the board examination is over, but the waiting isn't.
Weeks after applying for verification and re-evaluation, hundreds are still refreshing the results' portal, hoping their revised marksheet will finally appear.
CBSE has released over 87% of the verification and re-evaluation results, but nearly 13% of applications remain pending.
While the Board has said that results are being uploaded in phases and that every request is being processed through a "robust, transparent and carefully monitored system", the delay is becoming increasingly stressful for students racing against admission deadlines.
STUDENTS WANT CLARITY
Social media have become a common space for students to share their frustration. Many have urged CBSE to speed up the release of the remaining results and provide a clearer timeline instead of leaving applications marked "under process" for weeks.
On X, one student wrote that while everyone else had started planning the next phase of their academic journey, those awaiting re-evaluation results were "stuck refreshing the portal every day."
Another urged CBSE to "release the pending results quickly", saying students should not have to choose between waiting for corrected marks and securing admission to a college.
Some candidates have also requested access to their evaluated answer books and revised copies, saying they need complete documentation for admissions and future verification.
The anxiety is amplified by the fact that several national entrance examinations have already moved ahead. NEET-UG, for instance, has released its provisional answer key, while universities have continued with counselling and admissions.
ADMISSION SEASON DOESN'T WAIT
For students whose applications still show "under process", every passing day matters. Colleges and universities across the country have already begun counselling, document verification and seat confirmation, leaving many candidates worried about completing formalities without their final revised marksheets.
CBSE has been uploading updated marksheets to DigiLocker alongside revised results, and has assured students that the remaining cases will be completed soon. However, for those still waiting, the uncertainty has become the bigger challenge than the re-evaluation itself.
The concern is especially visible among candidates participating in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for engineering admissions.
Some students say they are unable to submit revised marks where required, while others fear they could miss crucial counselling rounds if their updated results do not arrive in time.
Students awaiting their CBSE re-evaluation results say they are not looking for special treatment, they simply want the process to conclude so they can take the next step in their academic journey.
