Nissan Magnite facelift launched in India at Rs 5.99 lakh

New Nissan Magnite facelift will be manufactured in India and exported to more than 65 international markets.

Nissan India today launched the Magnite facelift in the country at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated compact SUV has been introduced at the same starting price at which the old model was available. The top-spec variant is priced at Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

There is no change in the powertrain options of the Nissan Magnite facelift. There is a 1.0-litre B4D naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 72PS and 96Nm, and a 1.0-litre HRAO turbo-petrol engine developing 99PS and 160Nm. The naturally-aspirated petrol unit has 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT options, while the turbo-petrol unit has 5-speed MT and CVT options.

Nissan has changed the entire variant nomenclature of the Magnite facelift. It is now available in Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+ variants.

On the outside, the Nissan Magnite facelift looks more or less same as before. New additions include a hexagon-patterned blacked-out grille, M-shaped LED taillamps and redesigned 16-inch alloys. There is a new Sunrise Copper colour option. For the international markets, there are as many as 13 colour options, with eight monotone and five dual-tone.

The cabin has a new three-tone colour scheme with fresh upholstery and soft-touch materials all around. You also get a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger and an all-new configurable TFT instrument cluster. There is a new air purifier, capable of turning 400 AQI into 30 AQI in just 20 minutes. You also get frameless auto-dim IRVM and a 36-degree camera. Nissan has now added six airbags as standard. Overall, the Magnite facelift has 55 safety features with 40 as standard. Also, there is a new i-key for remotely starting the vehicle within a radius of 60 metres.

Since its initial launch in 2020, Nissan has sold 150,000 units of the Magnite. The new model will be manufactured in India and exported to more than 65 international markets with right-hand drive (RHD) and left-hand drive (LHD). It will be more or less the same worldwide with some variations, depending on the regulations of a particular country.
