Shocking video shows United Airlines passenger repeatedly kicking plane seat

A shocking video has emerged on social media showing a passenger on a United Airlines flight from Austin to Los Angeles repeatedly kicking a seat.

A passenger travelling on a United Airlines flight from Austin to Los Angeles was seen repeatedly kicking a seat on the plane in a shocking video that has surfaced on social media.

In the short clip, the man is seen grabbing both an aisle and exit row seat while forcefully kicking the chair in the middle, pushing it into the empty row behind. Moments later, he attempts to dismantle the seat by jumping on it.

California-based passenger Gino Galofaro, who was on the flight, recounted waking up to the commotion and stepping in to help restrain the disruptive individual, Daily Mail reports.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Galofaro explained, “I woke up to him kicking the seat. The flight attendant walked by a couple times, nobody was doing anything. I restrained him and two other passengers were already getting zip ties so we zip tied his hands and feet and seat belted him to the seat. We were 40 minutes from LAX. Police came onboard when we landed.”

United Airlines later confirmed the passenger has been banned from flying with the airline. In a statement, a spokesperson said, “On November 16, local law enforcement met United flight 502 upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport after a customer became disruptive. We thank our crew for helping address the situation and working to ensure the safety of everyone on board. We've banned this customer from future United flights.”
