At least seven people were killed and one critically injured after a speeding car rammed into a truck in Sabarkantha district in Gujarat on Wednesday morning.

The accident took place near a cooperative mill in Sabarkantha's Himmat Nagar when the speeding car rammed into the rear end of a truck on a national highway at around 6 am on Wednesday.

The car had eight passengers, who were returning to Ahmedabad from Shamlaji.

The car was completely crushed, and the fire department had to use a cutter to recover the dead bodies.

Earlier in July, six people were killed and more than six others injured after a speeding truck rammed into a stationary bus on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Anand town in Gujarat.
