The actor also spoke about choosing encouragement over negativity online. “In a world addicted to trolling, choose encouragement. Why was Alia Bhatt being discussed online?

The conversation began after clips and photographs from Alia’s Cannes appearances sparked debate online, with some users claiming that international paparazzi did not pay much attention to her during one of the events.

Earlier, actor Aly Goni had also defended Alia against trolls. In an Instagram post, he said people should celebrate artists who represent India globally instead of pulling them down online.

Alia, meanwhile, also responded to one of the comments directed at her. After a user wrote, “What a pity, no one noticed you,” on her Instagram reel.

What did Alia Bhatt wear at Cannes?

This year marked Alia’s second appearance at Cannes after making her debut last year. The actor attended the festival as the global ambassador for beauty brand L'Oreal Paris.

At the festival, she appeared in a peach gown at the opening ceremony, an ivory silk saree-gown at the Bharat Pavilion event, and later a blue gown for the screening of La Vie d’Une Femme. The festival began on May 12 and will continue until May 23.
