Looks like the Beckham family drama isn’t cooling down anytime soon. Victoria Beckham, our beloved Posh Spice, has finally opened up about the much-talked-about family estrangement with son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. Recently, she said they have always focused on protecting and loving their children – but there’s more to the story.
In a chat with Wall Street Journal Magazine, the 51-year-old designer was asked about her eldest son – but noticeably, she chose not to even take his name, only fuelling speculation around the family fallout.
Instead, she said, "All we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children." She added that being in the public eye for over 30 years hasn't been easy, but their priority has always been their kids' well-being. "That's all I really want to say about it," she concluded, leaving us all craving more deets.
This comes after Brooklyn's explosive January Instagram posts, where he accused his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of trying to sabotage his marriage with Nicola Peltz Beckham. He claimed they valued "public promotion and endorsements above all else" and even alleged they attempted to "bribe" him over his name rights. Oh, the drama!
Brooklyn didn't hold back, folks. He declared, "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled."
Meanwhile, David Beckham shared his thoughts on social media’s influence, calling it “for the good and the bad,” while emphasising the importance of letting children learn from their own mistakes.
Despite the rift, sources close to the family insist that the Beckhams have tried to mend fences. One insider claimed, "David loves his kids. They are his everything." Yet, another source disputed this, suggesting the outreach attempts weren't as frequent as reported.
Brooklyn and Nicola, who got married in a lavish Florida ceremony in April 2022, reportedly wanted to live quietly but felt compelled to address "relentless inaccuracies." Oh, the tangled web of family feuds!
