Mahindra Farm Equipment Business has achieved a major milestone by surpassing the production of 70 lakh tractors, underscoring its dominance in the agricultural machinery sector and its long-standing commitment to farm mechanisation.

Mahindra Farm Equipment Business (FEB), part of the Mahindra Group, has crossed the landmark production milestone of 70 lakh tractors. The achievement further strengthens the company's position as the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume and highlights its role in advancing mechanised farming across India and international markets.

The company markets its products under the Mahindra Tractors, Swaraj Tractors and Gromax brands, offering a portfolio of more than 350 tractor models and variants. Its product range is complemented by a growing lineup of tractor-driven and self-propelled farm machinery.

Founded in 1963, Mahindra Tractors remains India's largest tractor brand, with manufacturing facilities spread across Mumbai, Nagpur, Zaheerabad, Rudrapur, Jaipur and Rajkot, while research and development operations are based in Chennai. Swaraj Tractors, credited with developing India's first indigenous tractor in 1974, continues to be one of the country's fastest-growing tractor brands, supported by manufacturing and R&D facilities in Mohali. Meanwhile, Gromax Agri Equipment, a joint venture between Mahindra and the Government of Gujarat, operates from Vadodara and markets the Trakstar and Hindustan tractor ranges.

The milestone comes amid a strong growth phase for Mahindra FEB. The company recorded annual tractor sales of over 5.26 lakh units in FY26 and introduced several new products, including the Mahindra 585 Yuvo Tech+ V1, Mahindra Novo Premium Edition and Swaraj Protek range. It has also expanded the reach of its OJA tractor platform into several global markets.

Looking ahead, Mahindra FEB plans to launch seven new tractors and introduce 12 new features across the Mahindra Tractor and Swaraj Protek portfolios during FY27.

Commenting on the achievement, Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO, Auto & Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra, said the milestone reflects the company's contribution to strengthening rural communities and supporting India's agricultural transformation as the country advances towards its Viksit Bharat vision.

Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra, said the production milestone represents not just scale but also the trust farmers have placed in Mahindra's brands over decades. He added that the company remains focused on making agricultural technology more accessible and relevant through advanced products, intelligent features and value-driven solutions.

Mahindra FEB currently has a presence in more than 50 countries and remains the global leader in tractor volumes. The United States is its second-largest market after India, supported by over three decades of operations and two assembly facilities. The company is also expanding its focus on smart agricultural machinery solutions covering the entire farming value chain, from land preparation to post-harvest operations.
