The OnePlus Ace 6 was launched in China in October last year and later arrived in India in December as the rebranded OnePlus 15R. Now, discussions around its successor, the OnePlus Ace 7, have begun to surface. A fresh rumour has revealed key specifications of the purported device. This leak comes as the Chinese brand gears up to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite in India on the 7th of this month.

Now, tipster Smart Pikachu has taken to the Chinese social media platform Weibo to reveal that the OnePlus Ace 7 could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset — a flagship processor currently powering premium smartphones such as the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Oppo Find X9 Ultra. The Ace 7 is expected to debut in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The OnePlus Ace 7 is also rumoured to feature an active cooling system with a built-in fan — something even the recently launched Ace 6 Ultra lacks, as it relies on an external cooling solution. If accurate, this could translate into significantly improved sustained gaming performance compared to both the Ace 6 and the Ace 6 Ultra. Additionally, there is growing chatter around an “ultra-high refresh rate” display, though the exact figure remains unclear.

Previously, tipster Digital Chat Station has also hinted at such a panel for upcoming OnePlus sub-flagship devices, with some leaks suggesting future models — like the OnePlus 16 — could push refresh rates as high as 240Hz, raising expectations for where the Ace 7 might land.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra in China last month. The device features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1800 nits of brightness.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset built on a 3nm process. The device comes with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For photography, the phone houses a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The camera system supports features like HDR, panorama, and 4K video recording at up to 120fps. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera capable of shooting 1080p videos with gyro-EIS support.

Backing the device is a massive 7800mAh battery, which supports 120W wired fast charging along with multiple fast-charging standards. The company claims it can charge up to 58 per cent in just 20 minutes and reach a full charge in around 43 minutes. It also supports bypass charging, which can help reduce heat during intensive tasks like gaming.
