Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy recently announced an exciting collaboration with Tamil superstar Dhanush for a new project tentatively titled D55. In a recent post on social media, Periasamy expressed his enthusiasm for working with Dhanush, referring to him as a "powerhouse of talent" and calling this collaboration a "dream come true."
The project will be produced by Anbuchezhiyan and Sushmita Anbu of Gopuram Films, known for producing films like Thanga Magan and Aandavan Kattalai.
Riding high on the success of his latest release Amaran starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead, director Rajkumar Periasamy expressed his gratitude in his X post.
The caption read, “When good things happen, they happen in a row! Series of optimistic flow of feelings continue through...” as he acknowledged his good fortune in recent times with his endeavours. After announcing that his next project will be with Dhanush, Rajkumar also thanked the film's producers Anbuchezhiyan and Sushmita Anbu of Gopuram Films for “making this happen”.

Rajkumar Periasamy’s Amaran is performing well at the box office. In its first week, the film earned Rs 114.5 crore in India. Dhanush on the other hand, got a hit recently with Raayan and is now working on multiple projects. He will next be seen in Kubera, alongside Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandannaâ, while his third film as a director, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, is slated to release in theatres on December 21, 2024.
