Maruti Suzuki crosses 1 million sales in first five months of FY26-27
Maruti Suzuki has reported a strong sales performance in August 2026, crossing the one-million-unit mark in cumulative sales during the first five months of FY2026-27.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded total sales of 2,19,220 units in August 2026, comprising 1,80,078 units in domestic sales, 5,298 units sold to other OEMs and 33,844 units exported.
The automaker also crossed the 1-million-unit milestone in total sales within the first five months of FY2026-27. Between April and August 2026, Maruti Suzuki’s total sales stood at 11,43,365 units, up from 8,89,070 units during the corresponding period of FY2025-26.
Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 1,76,971 units in August, compared with 1,31,278 units in August 2025. Utility vehicles continued to be a major contributor, with models including the Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6 collectively recording 79,045 units, up from 54,043 units a year earlier.
Passenger car sales, including the Mini and Compact + Mid-Size segments, totalled 85,965 units, compared with 66,450 units in August 2025. The Mini segment comprising the Alto and S-Presso recorded 8,799 units, while the Compact + Mid-Size segment registered 77,166 units.
The company’s Eeco van recorded sales of 11,961 units, while the Super Carry light commercial vehicle posted sales of 3,107 units during the month.
Exports stood at 33,844 units in August, taking Maruti Suzuki’s cumulative exports for April-August 2026 to 1,88,636 units, compared with 1,65,255 units during the same period last fiscal.
Overall, Maruti Suzuki’s cumulative domestic sales, including sales to other OEMs, reached 9,54,729 units between April and August 2026, while total sales including exports crossed the 11.4-lakh-unit mark.
