Realme 16T launched with Dimensity 6300 and 8,000 mAh battery, price starts at Rs 29,999

Realme rolls out the Realme 16T today in India. The smartphone beaks cover alongside the Buds Air 8 Pro and the Realme Watch S5. Here is what we know so far.

Realme has introduced the Realme 16T in India today, expanding the Realme 16 series with a fourth model alongside the standard Realme 16 5G, Realme 16 Pro, and Realme 16 Pro Plus. Notably, the Realme 16T is the most affordable smartphone in the lineup starting at Rs 29,999. The new phone ships with a big battery, MediaTek Dimensity chipset and a selfie mirror at the back. It breaks cover alongside the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro and Realme Watch S5. The Realme 16T comes in multiple configurations and colour options and will go on sale via Flipkart on May 27.

Realme 16T specs and features

Starting with the display, the Realme 16T features a 6.8-inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1570x720px resolution.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU paired with the Mali-G57 MC GPU.

For photography, the Realme 16T ships with a 50-megapixel Sony AI rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies.

To keep the lights on, the smartphone is packed with a massive 8000mAh cell with 45W wired fast charging and 15W reverse charging support. The company promised 7 years of battery health.

The Realme 16T runs on realme UI 7.0, and the company claims it offers “up to 6 years of fluency protection.” The smartphone comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Realme 16T price, colours and availability

The Realme 16T starts in India at Rs 29,999 for the base 6GB RAM and 128GB variant. The 8GB RAM and 128GB and 8GB RAM 256GB models are priced at Rs 31,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively. The smartphone is currently available for pre-booking via Flipkart and Realme India. Buyers can choose from three colour options: Starlight Red, Starlight Black, and Aurora Green.

Realme Buds Air 8 Pro

The Realme Buds Air8 Pro feature 55dB active noise cancellation and come equipped with an 11mm + 6mm dual-driver setup. The earbuds support LHDC 5.0 audio codec and Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity. Other features include 45ms low-latency mode for gaming, a six-microphone system for calls, touch controls, IP55 dust and water resistance, and up to 50 hours of total battery life.

Realme Watch S5

The Realme Watch S5 sports a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with up to 1500 nits peak brightness. The smartwatch comes with built-in GPS and support for five satellite positioning systems. It also includes heart rate, SpO2, sleep, stress, and noise monitoring features, along with support for more than 110 sports modes. Other features include Bluetooth calling, customizable watch faces, 5ATM water resistance, and up to 20 days of claimed battery life.
