8 killed as car rams parked lorry in Kerala's Thrissur
A car carrying eight youths believed to be from Tamil Nadu crashed into a parked lorry in Thrissur late on Friday. Locals, fire and rescue personnel, and police pulled the victims out after the collision.

Eight people, believed to be students from neighbouring Tamil Nadu, were killed in a tragic road accident in central Kerala’s Thrissur district, police said on Saturday.
The accident occurred around 11.40 pm on Friday at Panambikkunnu in Kaipamangalam near Thrissur.
According to police, the car carrying the youths collided with a lorry parked on the highway. All eight people in the car died on the spot.
Locals, fire and rescue personnel and police carried out a rescue operation and pulled the victims out of the car.
Authorities took the bodies to the mortuary of Thrissur Medical College, police said.
The vehicle involved in the accident had a Tamil Nadu registration. Police said the deceased were suspected to be students from Tamil Nadu.
The car was reportedly travelling from the Guruvayur side towards Kodungallur when the accident occurred.
