Mercedes-Benz has introduced the limited-run GLE and GLS Night Edition SUVs in India, adding a darker visual treatment, exclusive interior detailing and additional features to its luxury SUV range. The special editions are part of a global limited series and will be offered in restricted numbers in the Indian market.

India has also emerged as one of Mercedes-Benz’s top global markets for both the GLE and GLS, underlining the strong demand for premium luxury SUVs in the country.

Mercedes GLE and GLS Night Edition

The GLE and GLS Night Edition models are available in two exterior shades — Obsidian Black and the exclusive Alpine Grey finish, which is not offered on standard versions of the SUVs. Both models receive blacked-out styling elements, black Nappa leather upholstery and Anthracite open-pore oak wood trim to create a more bespoke cabin experience.

Mercedes-Benz has also equipped both Night Edition SUVs with a head-up display as standard, while the GLE Night Edition additionally gains Airmatic air suspension over the regular model.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said the new editions are aimed at customers seeking greater individuality and exclusivity in the luxury SUV segment.

Prices (ex-showroom, India)

  • GLE 300d Night Edition – Rs 1.05 crore
  • GLE 450 Night Edition – Rs 1.14 crore
  • GLS 450 Night Edition – Rs 1.41 crore

GLE Night Edition

The GLE Night Edition builds on Mercedes-Benz India’s core luxury SUV offering with a sportier design package centred around darkened exterior elements and the exclusive Alpine Grey paint finish. The addition of Airmatic suspension is aimed at improving ride comfort and distinguishing the Night Edition from the standard GLE range.

GLS Night Edition

The GLS Night Edition applies the same design philosophy to Mercedes-Benz’s flagship luxury SUV. The larger dimensions of the GLS further emphasise the blacked-out styling, while the upgraded Nappa leather upholstery and Anthracite trim add to the premium cabin ambience.
