Poco has just launched its latest smartphone in India, the M8 Power. The Poco M8 Power is the company’s new M-series phone that targets users who want good battery life in a decent package, and a striking design
The Poco M8 Power is the first M series phone from Poco since the M8, which was launched in India in January this year.
From the design to the features, and of course the price, here is everything you need to know about the Poco M8 Power.
Poco M8 Power design and display
The M8 Power comes with a large camera module on the back that runs the entire width of the phone. You get two circular cutouts here, one for the camera, and one for the flash. The Poco branding is on this module too.
The Poco M8 Power comes with a plastic backplate, and a flat plastic frame. The device has a thickness of just over 8.4mm, and weighs about 220 grams.
Coming to the front, the Poco M8 Power uses a large 6.9-inch FHD Plus AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, along with 960Hz PWM dimming. Poco says that the panel can deliver 100 per cent of DCI P3 colour gamut.
The display gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and the M8 Power features an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Poco M8 Power performance and battery
Under the hood, the Poco M8 Power uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, which is based on a 4nm process. This is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
On the battery front, the M8 Power houses an 8,000mAh cell. Poco says the phone can deliver around 28 hours of non-stop video playback. For charging, you get 45W wired support. The device can also reverse-charge at 22.5W.
Poco M8 Power cameras and everything else
Coming to the cameras, the Poco M8 Power gets a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the rear. The selfie shooter is an 8-megapixel unit. You can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps on both sensors.
The Poco M8 Power runs on HyperOS 3 out of the box, based on Android 16. The company is promising 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches with the M8 power. That is, you can expect the device to get OS updates till Android 20. The device also gets an IR blaster, and AI features such as Circle to Search.
Poco M8 Power launch and expected price
The Poco M8 Power starts at Rs 24,999 for the base 6GB/128GB model. The 8GB/128GB will cost you Rs 27,999. Poco is also offering bank offers worth Rs 3,000.
The Poco M8 Power goes on sale from August 7, 2026. The device will be sold via Flipkart.
