Prabhas's Fauzi gets December release date with blood-soaked new poster

Prabhas's period action drama directed by Sita Ramam filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi is all set for a December 2026 release, with a blood-soaked new poster raising anticipation.

Prabhas's much-awaited period action drama Fauzi finally has a release date. The makers on Wednesday announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide on December 3, 2026, while also unveiling a striking new poster featuring the Baahubali star in one of his most intense looks yet.

Director Hanu Raghavapudi, best known for Sita Ramam, shared the release date announcement on social media alongside the poster. He wrote, "On 3rd DECEMBER 2026, the Fauzi march begins. Come witness a story that won't just unfold on the big screen, it will live on in the hearts of everyone who believes in courage, honor, and freedom."

The newly released poster presents Prabhas in a fierce avatar. Sitting shirtless in a dhoti, drenched in blood and surrounded by corpses, the actor rests one hand on a rifle while seated on a stone. The visual instantly evokes memories of Prabhas's iconic Baahubali pose following Kattappa's betrayal, making the poster one of the film's biggest talking points so far. It also reinforces the film's tagline, "A Battalion who fights alone."

Fauzi marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi. Set against a military backdrop, the film offers a fictionalised take on historical events. The ambitious project will be released in two parts, with the second instalment serving as a prequel to the first.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauzi is slated for a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The film features cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, music composed by Vishal Chandrashekar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao. Alongside Prabhas, the film features Anupam Kher, Mithum Chakraborty, Jayaprada, Imanvi and Chaitra J Achar in prominent roles.

Prabhas was last seen in The Raja Saab, which released earlier this year and opened to mixed reviews. The actor has a packed slate ahead with Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, scheduled for release next year. He also has Salaar 2 and Kalki 2 in the pipeline.
