Kia India has recorded its highest-ever April wholesale performance since entering the Indian market, reporting sales of 27,286 units in April 2026. The automaker registered a 16 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 23,623 units sold during the same month last year.

The company said the strong performance was driven by sustained demand across its SUV and MPV portfolio, led by the updated Kia Seltos, alongside steady contribution from the Kia Sonet and the Kia Carens range.

On a year-to-date basis, Kia India posted cumulative sales of 1,11,611 units, reflecting a 13 per cent growth over 99,199 units recorded during the corresponding period last year.

Commenting on the performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said the company’s record April volumes build on the steady momentum seen over recent months. He noted that the Seltos continues to lead demand, while the Sonet and Carens line-up, including the Clavis variants, are helping strengthen Kia’s presence across multiple segments.

The Seltos remained the brand’s top-performing model during the month, supported by its updated styling, feature additions and 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating. Kia said both the Seltos and Sonet crossed the 10,000-unit monthly sales mark in April, underlining continued traction in the mid-size and compact SUV segments.

Beyond vehicle sales, Kia India said it has expanded its after-sales footprint to 500 workshops nationwide. The company’s overall network now comprises 891 touchpoints spread across 396 cities, along with 128 certified pre-owned outlets.

Kia India also announced that it has crossed the milestone of 1.5 million domestic sales within seven years of operations in the country. The Seltos remains the brand’s largest contributor, accounting for more than 41 per cent of cumulative sales, followed by the Sonet at 36 per cent and the Carens range at 20 per cent. The Kia Carnival continues to represent the company in the premium MPV segment.

The company said it will continue focusing on customer-centric product development and ownership experiences as it looks to sustain its growth trajectory in the Indian market.
