A 15-year-old boy was killed, and another minor sustained serious injuries after the electric scooter they were travelling on was caught between two cars in a road accident in Telangana’s Kamareddy town on Friday.

The accident occurred in the Ashok Nagar area of the town. CCTV footage of the incident shows a white car suddenly crashing into a blue car that was making a turn. The electric scooter carrying the two boys came between the two vehicles and got trapped in the collision.

The impact was so severe that both riders were thrown off the scooter. One of the boys died on the spot after sustaining serious injuries, while the other was rushed to the Kamareddy General Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

POLICE PROBE ACCIDENT

Following the accident, police registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.

Officials are examining how the two cars collided and how the scooter became trapped between them. The exact cause of the accident has not yet been officially established.

Police are also investigating whether factors such as excessive speed or negligent driving played a role in the crash. No such cause has been confirmed so far.

BUS OVERTURNS IN KAMAREDDY

Meanwhile, on the same day, in a separate incident, a bus overturned at Kamareddy’s Jukal X Road, killing the driver and leaving several passengers injured.

According to a report by news agency ANI, the bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Bichkunda when it hit a roadside divider before overturning. The driver, identified as Anjaneyulu, died on the spot.

Several passengers sustained injuries in the accident and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
