Oppo’s latest camera flagship -- the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max -- is set to launch soon in India. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max has several ‘firsts’ to its name, both in India and globally. It will be the first phone in the country to feature MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, which was launched at a Delhi event today, as confirmed by both Oppo and MediaTek. It is also the first Pro Max model in the Oppo Find series. Since the phone has already launched in China, it could also be the first smartphone to feature three 200-megapixel camera sensors on the rear.
As for the chipset, the Dimensity 9600 Pro is MediaTek’s new flagship smartphone chipset, built on a 2nm process. It brings a major focus on on-device AI, with support for AI models of up to 30 billion parameters. The chip also promises faster performance, better power efficiency, smoother gaming and improved camera capabilities for upcoming high-end smartphones.
Since the device has already launched in China, we have a fair idea of what the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max could bring when it arrives in India. However, Oppo has not yet confirmed these specifications for the Indian variant, so they should be taken with a pinch of salt for now.
Oppo Find X10 Pro Max expected specs
The Find X10 Pro Max could feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The screen is expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate for regular use, while the refresh rate could go up to 144Hz in supported games. It may also offer up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness, along with 3840Hz PWM dimming and a minimum brightness of 1 nit.
The Chinese model runs ColorOS 17 based on Android 17, so the Indian version could arrive with similar software. The phone is also expected to feature Oppo's Tide Engine, which reportedly reduces the gap between 200-megapixel photo captures to just 0.7 seconds.
The camera setup could be the biggest attraction. The Find X10 Pro Max is expected to pack three 200-megapixel rear cameras, including a 200-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and two-axis OIS, a 200-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 124-degree field of view, and a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS. The telephoto camera could also support macro shots from as close as 10cm.
For selfies and video calls, the phone could feature a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. It may also support 8K Log video recording across all three rear cameras, along with 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording.
The Find X10 Pro Max could pack a large 8,000mAh battery, with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Oppo also claims the China model's battery can retain at least 80 per cent of its capacity after five years.
Other expected features include IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with a five-star drop and impact rating from SGS Switzerland. The phone is available in three colourways in China: Moon White, Warm Orange and Light Titanium, though it remains to be seen whether all three colours make it to India.
