6-year-old raped in Haryana, mother finds out after girl returned from school

The family of a six-year-old has alleged that she was sexually assaulted after attending a school in Rohtak. The child was taken to a government hospital, following which police registered a case and began examining the school's CCTV footage.

A six-year-old girl, a UKG student at a private school in Haryana's Rohtak, was sexually assaulted, police said. The survivor's family members protested outside the school, alleging that the girl was raped at the institution's premises.

The girl had attended school on Monday. After she returned home, her mother changed her clothes and noticed that the child's condition was critical. The family then took her to a private hospital for treatment.

The doctors at the private hospital, suspecting that the child had been sexually assaulted, referred her to a government hospital in Rohtak.

GIRL ADMITTED TO GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL

The child was admitted to the government hospital, where doctors informed the police about the suspected sexual assault.

Following the information, the Lakhan Majra police station registered a case and launched an investigation into the allegations.

Police are examining CCTV footage from the school as part of the investigation to determine what happened to the child.

The school principal also said that if any wrongdoing involving the child had taken place at the school, the institution would accept full responsibility.

The investigation is underway.
