Indian actor Arshad Warsi recently found himself in the middle of a minor controversy after his statement about Prabhas' character in Kalki 2898 AD invited criticism from fans. In an exclusive chat with India Today Digital, Arshad said that while he was taken aback by the negativity at first, it doesn't bother him anymore.

Arshad spoke about the flipside of stardom and the negativity that comes with it. He shared that it was the first time he found himself on its wrong side. The Bandaa Singh Chaudhary actor said, "Honestly, it's okay. Everyone has their point of view. Also, it's a democratic country, and everyone is allowed to speak in it. If you are a positive person, anything negative does bother you. However, we have been at a place where stones are thrown, so it doesn't bother me anymore."

After the controversy, many noticed that the actor had shut his comment section on social media, Denying the same, Arshad laughed that he doesn't even know how to do that. When asked whether the incident had made him cautious about what he says publicly, the actor shared, "Absolutely, I have decided that I will love every film that I watch. I will love every actor for the rest of my life (laughs)."

For the unversed, Arshad Warsi, while talking to YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, had mentioned how Prabhas' character was made to look like a 'joker' in Kalki 2898 AD. "Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he...he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar? Kyu karte ho aisa? Mujhe nahin samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things? I can never understand),” he said while heaping praise on Amitabh Bachchan's performance in the film.

The Munna Bhai MBBS actor further added that many felt he created the controversy to promote his next film. Arshad said, "There are times when random people, to create content, manufacture a lot of such controversies. When this happened, many felt I said it because Bandaa Singh was releasing. But I didn't have any idea when the film would be released. You can never plan controversies or even its results," Arshad concluded.

Arshad Warsi-starrer Bandaa Singh Chaudhary is set to release on October 25.
